What your Feet Say about your Health: 10 Warning Things to Pay Attention to

1) Sunken in toenails

First, we start with the beautiful toenails. If they are sunken or have spoon-shaped indents in them, you might be low in iron. This would mean that you’d want to get your blood tested and possibly start consuming iron supplements.

2) Hairless toes or feet

Of course, none of us desire hairy feet, but if you have no hair at all, this could be an indicator that you have bad circulation (which is a symptom of vascular disease). You must also attempt to use your feet more often to push blood to them.

3) A sore that won’t heal

If it isn’t going away, you should see a doctor. This could be a cause of diabetes.

4) Cold Feet

This is common in women, but if they are consistently cold, you may have a thyroid issue.

5) Thick, yellow toenails

If this is the case with your feet, there could be a fungus growing. Check with your doctor.

6) Sore toe joints

This could be more common in older people, but if your toes are sore, it could be a symptom of arthritis, a degenerative joint disease.

7) Flavey skin

If you have dry skin, make sure you recognize it. You may think it’s common, but it may be a symptom of athlete’s foot.

8) Digital clubbing

If they have lost their normal shape, it could be a sign of pulmonary (lung) disease.

9) Heel Pain

If you’ve experienced sharp pains in your heel when you stand up, it could be a plantar fasciitis. This is from strain on the ligament that supports the arch in your foot.

10) Numbness

If your feet are numb it could be a sign you have diabetes.
