When you’re in a long-lasting relationship and especially if you are planning on moving in together there are a million and one hurdles you have to overcome together.
When British couple Mark Higgins and Becky Szenk had to make a decision such as this, they decided it was best to move closer to Mark’s place of work.
However, they couldn’t find anyone to help them move.
They decided to reach out on Facebook for a reliable moving company.
It wasn’t long before Becky stumbled across a company owned by a man called Lee Green. The profile looking professional, as did their website. She had spoken to Lee on the phone before deciding that they were the company they wanted to choose to move all of their belongings.
She scheduled a day for Lee Green’s men to come and move them.
Lee showed up to start moving the families belongings but this is when things got interesting.
Mark and Becky were both impressed with how quickly and efficiently Lee Green’s mover’s worked. They managed to pack everything up in their truck in under an hour, that is pretty good going.
Mark commented on how fast they were and they added they had plenty other of jobs to get to in the day.
But as it turned out, that wasn’t the case at all…
The couple knew something was really wrong when the movers didn’t arrive at the pub as planned. Turns out, Lee Green never even really existed, his moving company was a scam.
Mark and Becky had lost all of their belongings in under an hour. It turned one of the most exciting days of their life into a real horror story.
They knew they would have to start over.
