Samantha Welch is a very special young woman in her twenties. She is doing an amazing job as a single mom providing for her little boy, Ryan.
In 2015, Samantha took three-year-old Rylan on a train. It was really busy, so she sat him on her lap and tried to occupy him and keep him quiet on the journey
During the trip, a man wearing a hat and glasses sat down near her. There was hardly any space, but she tried to make room for him and his baggage.
Samantha hadn’t dropped anything out of her bag, but confused, she took the paper from the man.
Samantha soon realized the man wasn’t telling the truth, she hadn’t dropped anything and he knew full well.
He had wrote a note on the train for her and when she read the stranger’s words, she was so shocked that she wanted to burst into tears…
The man wore glasses and a hat and she had never seen him before in her life.
On the train, the man must have been watching Samantha trying to keep Rylan occupied, from playing games to general chitchat.
Eventually, Rylan fell asleep and Samantha was giving him a warm cuddle.
The man was clearly blown away and wrote an incredible note to her:
But that’s not all the note said.
Samantha looked at the paper in her hand and realized it was a handwritten note wrapped around £5 bill.
The note read:
Have a drink on me, you’re a credit to your generation, polite and teaching the little boy good manners.
PS I have a daughter your age, someone did the same for her once. Hope when she has children she is as good a mother as you.
The note was signed, man on train at table with glasses and hat.
She never had the chance to thank the mystery man before he disappeared as by the time she read the note he was on his way home.
Samantha was desperate to find the man, so when she went home, she began searching for him on Facebook.
About a week later, the kindhearted mystery man was identified and she was over the moon.
The mystery man can be seen in the photo below:
