Judge Reveals Her Husband Is Not 12-Year-Old’s Biological Dad — But That She’s Also Not The Mom

This is something you only ever imagine happens in movies.

When  Yulia Belyaeva got married she learned that she had become pregnant with a baby girl. Yulia went into labor on December 17, 1998.

Not long after Irina gave birth another woman also gave birth to a little girl.

The nurses took Yulia’s baby  away into another room whilst Yulia got some rest.  It is believed that during this time the nurses accidentally swapped Yulia’s baby with the other mother’s baby.

Yulia at the time thought it was odd her baby had such dark hair but simply figured she must have inherited her father’s genes.

She and her husband took Irina home to begin life as a family, but the couple soon split after lots of tension.

After failing to make good on his promise to pay alimony, Yulia took her ex-husband to court. He was refusing to pay any money until he was sure that the baby was his. He always felt she looked nothing like him.

The judge ordered full DNA tests, after which Yulia received the biggest shock of her life. Her husband was not Irina’s biological father — nor was she her biological mother!

Desperate for answers, Yulia went to the police for help.

Luckily they decided to act fast to find out what was really going on.

After lots of hard work,  they tracked down Irina’s biological daughter. Anna, grew up just 15 miles away from her and Irina. She was raised Muslim by a man named Naimat, along with her four sisters. Irina and Anna were now 12 years old.

The two families met and it was very clear what had happened.  Irina was Naimat’s spitting image, and Anna was Yulia’s. They are now in the process of all getting to know each other but their whole world has been turned upside down.

Ultimately, the two girls decided to stay with the “wrong” families who raised them.

Yulia and Naimat sued the hospital in which the girls were born. In 2011, the court awarded both families $100,000 each in compensation. However, I don’t think any amount of money could heal the turmoil these families have had to go through.
