PASSENGERS have been taken to hospital after roof panels collapsed onto passengers at Manchester Victoria train station just one year after its £44 million upgrade.
Police have confirmed that two passengers suffered head injuries and have been taken to hospital following the collapse of the roof at Manchester Victoria train station.
The police were notified of the incident at 4.43pm today.
Witnesses say that the roof panels collapsed onto a crowd of passengers at the Manchester Victoria Station and released a “tidal wave” of rainwater.
The train station’s “bubble” roof was the focal part of a £44 million upgrade just one year ago.
