Ticks and tick bites are dangerous if you don’t remove them on time and if you let them untreated. That is why you should know how to get rid of them as quickly as possible…
You can get rid of a tick with rubbing the affected area with sunflower oil or soap, or you can pull it out with the help of tweezers. Some advise to rub the skin with acetone, but that is not really recommendable.
Here is one very simple and quite effective way to eliminate ticks. This is recommended by one village teacher.
According to the village teacher, the best way for removing a tick is by sprinkling some salt over the place where the tick is stuck and placing a piece of wet cotton wool onto it. After 20-30 minutes, the tick should come out on its own on the surface of the skin.
When the tick comes out, you need to take it to a laboratory and examined in order to see whether it is or it isn’t the holder of poliomyelitis or encephalitis, because the statistics show that one in every 10 ticks can be infected.
Recipe against Ticks
When you are planning to go out and explore the nature, you should take some tick and mosquito repellents with you. Or you can prepare them by yourself.
You will need the following ingredients:
- 200 ml water
- 25 grams of cloves
- 2 tablespoons of alcohol
First bring the water to boil and than add the 25 grams of cloves to it. You should cook for 15 minutes and you should leave the liquid to cool down. At the end add 2 tablespoons of alcohol to it and that is all, you’re done.
Before stepping out in nature, you should apply some of this natural insect repellent to yourself and your pet.
If you do not have enough time to prepare this recipe, you can try with using some clove oil that you can buy from the nearest supermarket, diluted with some water (a few drops per liter of water). Mosquitoes hate the smell of cloves.
If you think that you are not able to remove the tick properly or you are afraid to do it on your own, then the best is to seek medical help.
