This is a very popular diet created by Dr. Peter D’Adamo. He rejects the idea that the same diet can be successfully applied in all and encourages people to eat certain products and to avoid others, depending on their blood type – A, B, AB, or 0.
According to this diet, all foods fall into one of three categories: highly beneficial, neutral or harmful. Beneficial foods for certain blood group act as light, neutral as food, but harmful as poison.
This is the oldest blood type, so people that have it are natural carnivores, that is, they function the best to the products of animal origin. These people should keep away from carbohydrates because they digest them harder. So, allowed are all kinds of meat and fish, vegetables and fruits, but they should watch out when it comes to beans and grains. If you belong to this group, and want to lose some weight, you should include seafood, red meat and green vegetables, such as Swiss chard, spinach and broccoli. In the process of slimming, beans, mustard, mushrooms, bread and pasta, are not helpful at all.
This blood type poorly tolerates foods of animal origin because the digestive organs of these people are usually very sensitive. This blood type is most suited to food rich in grains, fruits and vegetables. Allowed to consume are products based on soy, seafood, beans, grains, and fruits. Food that helps the process of weight loss is in principle any fruit or vegetable, especially pineapple and green vegetables.
People who fall into this group are very happy because their digestive system is very adaptable, so these people can take on different types of food, with the exception of wheat, lentils and peanuts. Among permitted products is meat but not chicken, dairy products, grains, beans, mushrooms, vegetables and fruits. If you belong to this group and want to lose some weight, just eat some eggs, salad and drink a lot of tea.
This blood group responds well to meat products, including allowable groceries like seafood, dairy products, tofu, beans, mushrooms, cereals, vegetables and fruits. If you want to lose weight, you should eat dairy products and seafood, lettuce and pineapple, and should avoid red meat and wheat.
Supporters of this diet believe that this way of eating (tailored to blood type) helps maintain the health, slows the aging process and to some extent helps in weight loss. On the other hand, there are no scientific evidence for the effectiveness of the diet according to blood type.
