Why You Should Stop Eating KETCHUP!


Nobody thinks that ketchup is one of the unhealthiest condiments that people have ever eaten. It does not mean if we consume small amounts of it that it is not dangerous.


Ketchup can make foods such as burgers, hot dogs, and French fries taste better, but that is not all. Just a spoon of ketchup can harm you and make your life into a nightmare.



These are the most common ingredients that are marked on the label of the ketchup:

  • Vinegar
  • Corn soup
  • Spice
  • Tomato concentrate
  • High fructose corn syrup
  • Onion powder
  • Salt

Here is what is wrong with some of these ingredients:


  1. Tomato concentrate

Tomatoes are good, except they are exposed to the sun for hours and cooked without the peel and seeds, their minerals and vitamins will disappear.


  1. High fructose corn syrup (HFCS)

It means just one- sugar. It is found everywhere but it is very bad for our health because it causes obesity and type-2 diabetes.


  1. Corn syrup

It is the same thing as HFCS.


  1. Salt

The high amounts of salt can cause issues with blood pressure and other problems.


  1. Spices and other natural flavors

They are not dangerous, but the most ketchup brands do not explain what are made of.


From 70% to 85% of corn are genetically modified that means they were treated with pesticides and other chemicals. But what is the connection with the ketchup? It is interesting fact that about five ingredients in ketchup are made of corn, even corn syrup, vinegar, HCFS, and tomato concentrate.


Even if the ketchup is not completely dangerous, be careful of the amounts you eat. One or two packets are enough because eating too ketchup can encourage to eat more and more.
