This recipe features Watermelon and Rosemary, which not only tastes and smell good but is also healthy! This is my favourite combination, the blend of watermelon and rosemary is divine. This vitamin water is ideal for helping you balance stress on a mental and physiological level. With the addition of B vitamins, hydrating watermelon and calming rosemary this combination is best used during times of stress or intensity.
Watermelon – helps you gain a high amount of vitamins, minerals, as well as antioxidants. It is packed with important nutrients like beta-carotene, vitamins A, B1, B6, and C, potassium, biotin, copper, pantothenic acid, and more. It also rich in magnesium.
Magnesium is considered the master mineral. It is involved with over 300 cellular metabolic functions. While nearly 92% of watermelon is water, the 8% left over is rich in this compound, protecting and nourishing the heart, prostate, and skin.
Rosemary – helps improve digestion and also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. Rosemary has a stimulating effect on the mind in that it promotes healthy blood flow to brain tissue, and cleanses blood all along the way.
Rosemary can also help improve circulation; boost liver function, eliminate bad breath, boost immune function, cure adrenal fatigue, improve digestion,relieve muscle, nerve, and sciatic pain; help clear up eczema and other skin conditions, relieve rheumatism, and kill harmful bacteria.
2 quarts water
2 cups sliced watermelon
1 sprig rosemary
Place rosemary and watermelon in a pitcher and mash gently using a wooden spoon.
Add water to the mixture and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Add ice cubes if desired.
Keep refrigerated up to three days.
